I grew up in Northwest Georgia. Creation has always been in my bones. Whether it was painting, designing, or simply dreaming, I knew my path would have to be creative — I just didn’t know what it looked like exactly.
My first year of college was the hardest season of my life and I decided to take a gap year. Spoiler: I’m still currently on that so called “gap year”. What felt like a detour ended up becoming the most defining part of my testimony. After four years in the restaurant industry and countless prayers asking God what He had for me, I found myself unexpectedly arranging flowers for a dinner party — a small task from my boss that would change everything. No music. No distractions. Just hands, stems, and the stillness of peace I hadn’t felt in years.
From that moment, florals danced in my mind and never left. The idea of becoming a florist felt wild — almost unrealistic — The more I prayed, the more it felt like purpose. Pieces of this unbuilt puzzle started to weirdly fall into place. I never considered that it ran in my blood with my grandfather being a florist for the last 50+ years. Some encouraged me, others doubted. But with prayer, a little delusional confidence, and a whole lot of faith, I dove in.
The name Late Bloomers is personal. I felt late to everything — career, college, clarity. I avoided hard conversations and even told people I was moving to Florida to sell real estate, just to escape the pressure of “What’s your major?” or “What’s next?” But I’ve come to believe that beautiful things don’t always bloom early — sometimes they bloom right on time.
The first person I shared the dream with was my sister. She’s not the “creative” one — by her own words — but she’s got a fierce love for beauty and a work ethic that doesn’t quit. She surprised me by asking to build Late Bloomers with me. Her “yes” turned my maybe into a mission.
I have been married to my wonderful husband Gib for 8 years and we have two amazing children together, Henley and Harper.
Flowers have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in my grandparents’ flower shop, where I learned how to serve others through something beautiful. They are so special to me and working with flowers helps me feel even closer to them!
This shop actually began as my sister Rebekah’s dream. I’ve always been one of her biggest cheerleaders and knew she would do something amazing with all of her creative talent. I’m so grateful she shared her vision with me and invited me to be a part of it. Working alongside her, blending our strengths and building something rooted in family and in Christ has been one of the greatest gifts.
My husband, an entrepreneur himself, has been a constant encouragement and help along the way, and I’m thankful for his support as I’ve stepped into this calling. More than anything, I want to show my children the value of hard work, faith, and doing something you love.
We truly believe this business is God-led — and we do our best to reflect His creativity, kindness, and purpose in all we do. Every arrangement is made with love, intention, and a whole lot of heart.
